How to Work a Business Shirt Off-Duty
We all own a few of those pieces…. shirts, tailored trousers and sharp blazers that fit in perfectly in the office, but just don’t seem to work anywhere else. So if like me you work in a creative office, or you simply want to get your collared shirts working double time, here are a few ideas for wearing them off-duty…
First trick is simply denim. Yes denim, it’s the first step towards dressing down anything at all (boyfriend jeans and denim skirts at the ready)!
Then you’ve got to to zone in on the details. Whether you choose the half tuck, to knot at the waist, or you’d rather let it all hang out, the way you wear your shirt makes all the difference. Don’t forget to roll up your sleeves too; it’ll add to the nonchalant vibe for instant off-duty cool.
To complete the look add a few finishing touches… A sweater tied at the waist, preppy flats, natural makeup and “just got out of bed” messy hair. Voila!
