BYCHILL Chloe Hill in Zara, Antipodium, Emma Mulholland and Dries Van notenJacket, Antipodium.  Top, Zara.  Skirt (borrowed from my sister), Emma Mulholland.  Shoes, Dries Van Noten.

I can’t get enough of brocade… there is something so decadent about the texture and shine.  This Emma Mulholland gem is just the right amount of brilliance, and while I would love to dazzle the night away in a head to toe look I played it safe pairing it with black.

Black and Brocade

BYCHILL Chloe Hill Marni for h and M brocade top, Marni green and black beaded earringsTop, Marni for H&M.  Skirt and Earrings, Marni.  Heels, Dries Van Noten. Bracelets, Petite Grand.

Marni’s artsy and eclectic aesthetic has fixed creative director Consuelo Castiglioni as one of my all time fashion heroes.   Her beautiful prints, odd silhouettes and unexpected textures are sweet relief for my monotonous wardrobe.
This print on print combo is a nice tonal mix and perfect for enjoying the last warm days of the season.  So long summer!

Another day, another inappropriately short skirt.  This time a summery circle* style.  Perfect for keeping me cool during Sydney’s current humidity, although not really so practical in the fashion cupboard where I’m bending down on a regular basis…
