Excessive Adornment

Like many I find fine jewellery completely entrancing, yet sadly unattainable.  My diamond engagement ring is the most treasured piece of jewellery I own.  And for now it sits alone, awaiting other precious additions.  Don’t get me wrong, I love costume jewellery as my sparkly jewellery box will attest.  Still, I find myself trawling through Moda Operandi’s trunk-shows ohhing and ahhing over the elaborate fine-designs available for preorder.
So if you are luckily enough to be able to to spend-up on jewellery you’ll cherish forever, or like me you’re more likely to save for a pair of studs, I’ve rounded up some of the best jewellery labels around.  All are available to order on M’O for a short time only.  Admire with me…

BYCHILL Noor Fares jewelery preorder on moda operandi4
NOOR FARES

Modern without being futuristic, Noor Fares’ sharp shapes, wing motifs and geometry make her designs all the more interesting.  Plus excessive use of gemstones is always a good thing in my books.

BYCHILL Diane Kordas preorder on moda operandi
DIANE KORDAS

Fine designs need not be mundane, as proved by New York designer Diane Kordas.  If you can afford to be decked out in diamonds why not LOL.

BYCHILL Daniela Villegas jewelery preorder on moda operandi
DANIELA VILLEGAS

I have an unnatural attraction to nature-inspired jewels.  From beetles to butterflies, there’s something fascinating about wearing little critters.
It seems Daniela Villegas feels the same way, as her bugged-out collection proves. Those pearl earrings are wow!

BYCHILL Lulu frost preorder on moda operandi
LULU FROST

Technically not fine jewellery, Lulu Frost’s pieces have long been a favourite of mine…  I simply had to include the brand in the mix.  While designer Lisa Salzer does do a killer gold band, my heart lies with her jewel-encrusted costume designs.  Rife with deco-references, these eye-catching pieces should be added to your wish-list pronto.

If you’re still squeamish about spending up on jewellery keep your eye on The Outnet for occasional drops of heavily discounted Lulu designs (there’s also a huge selection of divine Oscar de la Renta jewels).
